Jesus said: "let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these (Matthew 19:14). While Fr. Virgilio Velasco, the guest Priest, read the bible verse before he delivered his homily, you can read the words: "LOVE THE ELDERLY, YOU WILL SOON BECOME ONE", printed at the back green t-shirts of the celebrants.
In God eyes, age doesn't matter, while they may belong to the senior citizens, we are all children of God. They are our roots where we originated, the elderly residents of Gamu, our Lolas & Lolos, Mothers or Fathers, Aunties and Uncles. They are the ones to whom we owe our gratitude for what we are today.
A mass was celebrated by the senior citizens of Gamu, Isabela with guest Priest Fr. Virgilio Velasco.
